Shakti Peeth Nandikeshari

At Nandikeshari, the necklace of Devi Sati had fallen and she is worshipped in the form of Nandini and Lord Shiva is worshipped as Nandikeshwar. The main idol is made from black stone and is smeared in vermilion. The idol is adorned with a silver crown and three golden eyes. The literal meaning of the Nandikeshwari translates to the “one who is worshiped by Nandi, the divine bull.” The Temple Complex is adorned by numerous statuettes and a beautiful age-old Banyan Tree.
